Configuration of the data transmission: Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 (Model 8xx)

IMPORTANT: Preliminary notes

The data transmission from the HFA3 to PeriData is performed by the export of a file. Two 2 important details have to be noticed:

File format

The HFA3 is able to export different types (formats) of DICOM files. All of them have the file extension .dcm, but differ internally. The difference is only noted when the file is read/opened. The DICOM type with usable visual field data is the format DICOM-OPV

Non-fitting DICOM formats: DICOM-EPDF (embedded PDF) is a PDF wrapped into a DICOM container. HFA3 Format is a proprietory Zeiss format. If PeriData finds a not-fitting DICOM file in the import folder, it will give a notification "wrong SOP class" and deletes the file

Export Folder

The export folder is the PeriDataExchange-Folder on the PC in the perimeter room. In the HFA3, it has to be mapped. It is recommended to do drive mapping on OPERATING SYSTEM level. In the file explorer, the shared folders on the other computers are listed, the selection is easy. And the login behaviour can be configurated.

Pitfall: In the field "Report Export Location" where you select the mapped drive, it is also possible to declare a UNC path as target folder. But the DICOM OPV file is not exported.

1. Map a network drive on windows level (outside the Zeiss Kiosk Mode)

2. Check the network settings in the perimeter control program

3. Configurate the export settings
